We’re excited to introduce Campaign Insights in Microsoft Clarity—a faster way to understand what happens after your users click on your ad. Designed for advertisers and marketers, campaign insights bridges the gap between ad performance metrics and real user behavior on your site. By combining advertising data (like impressions, cost, and CTR) with Clarity’s behavioral analytics (such as rage clicks, dead clicks, and other engagement metrics), it gives you a complete picture of the post-click experience.
Instead of bouncing between dashboards, you’ll get AI-generated narrative summaries that reveal what’s working—and what’s not—so you can make smarter decisions, faster. Powered by Clarity Copilot, this feature translates complex data into natural language summaries that identify:
- Where users drop off after clicking an ad
- When landing pages trigger rage clicks or low engagement
- How different campaigns influence on-site behavior and conversion
It’s not just data—it’s actionable insights to help you optimize both ad performance and user experience.
How to View Campaign Insights
You can access Campaign Insights directly from either the Clarity Analytics Dashboard or the Advertising Dashboard. In the Analytics Dashboard, simply locate the Campaign Data Widget and click the insights chat bubble icon next to a campaign name. Alternatively, in the Advertising Dashboard, navigate to the Campaign Detailed View and click the same icon beside a specific campaign.

In both cases, a right-hand pane will open with a chronological summary of AI-generated insights.

You can also provide feedback using the thumbs up/down icons to help improve the quality of these insights.
Limitations to Be Aware Of
- Campaigns need 3–5 days of campaign traffic and ad data to surface insights.
- Low-traffic or recently restarted campaigns may not generate insights immediately.
- Proper UTM tagging is essential. Without it, campaign sessions can’t be linked and insights won’t be available.
- Insights are recommendations, not guarantees—they highlight patterns and suggest next steps, but decisions should be validated with additional analysis.
Clarity uses Generative AI to power Copilot. While it’s designed to provide accurate and helpful summaries, occasional inaccuracies may occur. Help us improve by sharing feedback via the thumbs up/down or emailing clarityMS@microsoft.com.
