Challenge
Utilizing a visual user behavior analysis tool was essential for AnswerThis.io to understand and optimize how users interacted with its application. The Team
Zaliha Terk, Furkan Demirtaş, Özgül Çullu and Nermin Canik make up the digital marketing team at TurkNet. They aim to continuously increase service availability and monitor check action and e-commerce conversion rates by analyzing their web pages with the highest traffic.
The Challenge
On their website, they have a landing page where users can enter their address to check if internet service is available and learn how fast of an internet speed they can get. Users can also complete their subscription online or by calling the call center. In order to achieve their goals, they’ve experimented with various platforms simultaneously.
The team analyzed traffic from mobile devices using Google Analytics data and discovered that service availability check actions on the primary landing page decreased in specific screen resolutions (lower screen resolution correlates with lower conversion rates). After careful evaluation, they determined that Microsoft Clarity was the best solution for them.
Using Clarity

Parvis Invest Inc. is a real estate investment platform and marketplace that was formed in 2020 after founder and CEO David Michaud tried to raise capital from accredited investors for a real estate project. The process was cumbersome, overly legalistic, and expensive. Parvis was created to change that.
The company provides a B2B SaaS product, EMDsolutions, which targets private real estate funds and developers in Canada.
Parvis is quickly becoming Canada’s leading private real estate investment platform. Its goals are simple: to be the “go-to” place for accredited and eligible investors to find and invest in the highest-quality real estate developments and funds. Scott Spence, Head of Growth (pictured left) was set on discovering what user’s actions were taking place on his website, and how he could improve the conversion rate. Parvis had previously been using Google Analytics but decided to incorporate Microsoft Clarity to solve his team’s challenges.
Challenge
Data, as it’s presented in traditional analytics tool kits, tells a story but does not paint a picture. The combination of other tools failed to address three core problems that Parvis was trying to solve:

Are the customers taking the actions we want?
How does the Referral source change (1) and (2)?
Overall, Parvis wanted to improve conversion rates on high-traffic pages. They noticed that certain pages were experiencing high exit and bounce rates and wanted to understand why.
Using Clarity
The ability to visualize user actions changed the game. Using session recordings, heatmaps, and referrer data on Clarity, meant they could see exactly where people were dropping and where efforts should be focused. The Clarity product made this a seamless process for the Parvis team.

As a result of the insights gained, Parvis redesigned their homepage.
They implemented a clear CTA, making the messaging far simpler, and updated the overall design.
In addition, they changed CTAs on high-performing pages, moving them from the end of the article (where they were rarely seen) to a custom sidebar that was more visible. They experimented with various placements for their special offers, aligning them more intuitively with the users’ journeys.
Lastly, they also added a “sticky” offer widget that remained visible as users read the content.

Challenge
Brainstorm Force wanted to provide a search field to help visitors navigate seamlessly, in addition to strategically placing the various links and call to action buttons. They came across two challenges.
The company realized that their search bar caused confusion and made it difficult for visitors to locate what they were looking for. Another challenge was to assist visitors to preview the company’s Starter Templates. Users were struggling to preview the templates even though the mouse hover allowed them to click and view them. Click-through rates were much lower than the company wanted to see.
Starter Templates is an extensive library of pre-built website templates that cover just about any niche and business out there. Over 3.5 million websites were created using these Starter Templates in 2022.
A major selling point for these templates was that users can import a Starter Template, and have the website ready in a matter of minutes. The library page wasn’t delivering this selling point expected by website visitors.
“We created the Starter Templates page to showcase our pro-quality readymade templates. They are a USP of Astra and we spent a lot of time and resources making them the best they could be. However, the page we were showcasing them on just wasn’t delivering the experience visitors wanted or the conversions we needed.”
Finding a solution
The company used Clarity’s session recordings and heatmaps features to overcome two challenges. The recordings helped Brainstorm Force gain understanding of their designs and templates, and showed areas of improvement they never considered. The features even helped them improve traffic to their templates.
To address the first challenge, the company added a search option to the navigation bar.

Their consumers are home lovers who visit the platform to search and compare home furniture and furnishing products across the market. They regularly browse to get ideas, compare their favorite products on a personal board, get informed with practical tips, or buy items for their home.

The Challenge
As a data-driven organization, ufurnish.com prides itself on its ability to track and measure the performance of their website’s traffic channels using Google Analytics. However, despite their expertise, they were baffled by the ‘why’ behind some numbers.
Why were some channels underperforming regarding time on site and page depth? And why were certain category pages experiencing higher bounce rates than others?
While they had their theories, they lacked real validation beyond costly testing and the occasional misstep.

Trends in user behavior were identified, and issues such as poor targeting or poor user experience (UX) were isolated, providing valuable insights into the effectiveness of their performance channels. The seamless integration of Clarity with Google Analytics allowed them to analyze the same traffic segments used to report performance and channel traffic, giving them a clear and comprehensive picture of their users.

Utilizing Microsoft Clarity yielded invaluable insights that significantly impacted their digital product roadmap, advertising strategy, and website experience. Through Clarity, they discovered that their pop-up banner for newsletter sign-ups was causing frustration among users, resulting in a high number of clicks and rage clicks. To address this issue and reduce initial friction, the company modified the timing of the pop-up only to appear after a user had visited more than one page. These insights from Clarity allowed the company to make data-driven decisions and implement changes to improve the user experience on their website, ultimately enhancing their digital product offerings and advertising strategy.
Another key learning was the lack of user engagement with filters on category pages. By analyzing user behaviors, they identified that many users struggled to find the specific filter they sought. In response, they changed some of the larger category filters and introduced new filtering options to encourage users to interact with them more.

Spark Shipping was initially created to address the needs of their network of e-commerce sites, which started back in 2011.
With the rapid growth of their business, they needed to automate the core processes, so they set out to build a solution. After building the internal eCommerce automation platform, they immediately saw the value it brought to the business. They realized this was too good to keep to themselves and decided to share it with others experiencing the same problems.
That is how Spark Shipping was born in 2013! Now, more than a decade later, they have helped thousands of e-commerce site owners to automate their businesses and grow their profits.

The Challenge
With new features coming all the time for Spark Shipping, they needed away to understand the user’s journey with every new feature launch.
Using the insights gained from Clarity, they were able to redesign menus and change where in the app Spark Shipping placed links to specific features, which dramatically increased user engagement within those features.
From a sales perspective, they also wanted to increase inbound leads. To do this, they needed to understand what users were focusing on and where they clicked on the pages.
For example, they had landing pages where “Get a Demo” button was in the middle of the page, but found users typically read to the bottom of the page where no CTA button was.
Clarity helped Spark Shipping understand this behavior and prompted them to add an additional CTAs (Call-to-Action) to the bottom of the page, which has increased the inbound leads by almost 30%.
What did Spark Shipping use before Clarity?
Spark Shipping used Hotjar, but soon found that the cost became prohibitive for the amount of data needed. They couldn’t get sufficient user data to understand the behavior of our users due to cost constraints, but with Clarity, Spark Shipping has access to all the data they need.
Clarity allowed for access to complete data for all their users, enabling them to get full insight into their user’s journey and behavior within the Spark Shipping application. This has allowed them to continuously improve their user interface to ensure that users can take advantage of all of the benefits Spark Shipping offers them.
Session recordings and heatmaps have both been super helpful in the success for Spark Shipping. The session recordings allowed them to understand how users interact with the site from the first moment they land on a page, while heatmaps helped pinpoint sections of the site that visitors found confusing.
Using heatmaps, Spark Shipping found cases where users were expecting elements to be clickable that were plain text. Simply knowing this has allowed for adding links to pages to increase CTR and user experience.
Using Session recordings, they found landing pages where visitors were expecting a CTA but did not find one. This caused them to hit the back button instead of progressing. After using Clarity, Spark Shipping updated these pages to include a CTA right where visitors expected it, which has increased leads and reduced the bounce rate.
